Marty Baram, RCIC
The right choice at the right time
Fellow RCIC Colleagues,
My name is Marty Baram and I am a candidate for Director ICCRC Western Canada in the up coming 2019 Elections.
I am grateful to the many RCICs who encouraged me to participate once again in these important elections. I believe I am someone who can best represent your concerns moving forward.
I am a proud member of the ICCRC since 2012 with over 11 years of experience as an Immigration Consultant.
In my election platform I will focus primarily on education and will work hard along with other Board members to move the ICCRC’s transition to the College and continue to ensure that RCICs continue to have their say. I feel we can find solutions by consulting and valuing our members.
As an Instructor of Immigration: Laws, Policies and Procedures at the University of British Columbia, I have been fortunate to connect with hundreds of our newest RCICs. I believe that my hands on approach to discovering our new members’ strengths and weaknesses and even more importantly, their hidden potential, is key to building a strong organization for years to come.
I am currently a member of the Practice Experience Program (P.E.P.) Advisory Committee at the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) where we are working hard to design and implement a mandatory practical experience component for all new RCICs.
As a confident and efficient communicator, I pride myself in my ability to ask the right questions in order to help find solutions to relevant issues.
I trust that these abilities will translate well and that I will bring intrinsic value to the ICCRC as a Director of Western Canada.
